K'oli pankarita

(Fernando Jiménez)

"K'oli pankarita" (from Aymara quli panqarita, "beautiful little flower") is a huayno-sikuri popularized by Bolivian singer Zulma Yugar on her album "Tierra sin mar" (1996). Alongside "Mayata tunkaru" by Awatiñas and "Jach'a uru" by Ruphay, is one of the most widespread songs in Aymara language.

Jumataki, quli panqarita, suyasktamxa suma urunaka. Jumamp nayampi, nina nayra, mä suma thakhi lurt'asiñani. Ay, ay, fueguito, quli panqarita. Ay, ay, fueguito, quli panqarita. Pä maraxiw, suma imillita. Mä kutimpis khitirus munkäti. Sumat sumat sarnaqasiña. Amtasimay, quli nina nayra. [For you, beautiful little flower, happy times await. You and me, fire eyes, will set out on a promising journey. It is two years now, beautiful little girl. I will love nobody else again. Behave yourself. Do not forget it, beautiful fire eyes].
When translating the title, the translation was made after the version suggested on the site "Mayachat Aymara".
