Laura Pacheco

Laura Pacheco

"Laurita" Pacheco is a Peruvian folk harpist, born in 1985 in the Socabaya district (province and department of Arequipa), from where she moved to Lima to start her musical career. She is regarded as a "rising star" in the Peruvian folk arena, an artist who blends traditional and contemporary sounds and styles (including the urban cumbia).

She won her way to being featured in the Guiness Book of Records for her playing the harp 24 hours without stopping. She has also taken part in a number of documentary films such as "Vine cargando mi arpa" (2010) or "Kachkaniraqmi" (2013).
