Harps, violins and danzaq

Harps, violins and danzaq

In the Peruvian Sierra, one of the most traditional uses of both the harp and violin is for accompanying the danzaq, the dancers that perform the famous "Danza de las tijeras" ("Scissors dance").

The album "Quechua Scissor Dancers of Peru", by Picasa zotz_tecpatl user, includes pictures of danzaq and musicians performing at the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian in New York (EE.UU.) in November 2010.
